Aside from any schools who may not yet have their ESEA applications approved, there is some additional work forthcoming for ESEA amendment windows. Below is detail on what can or must be completed when the window opens:
Fall Amendment Window (November 1, 2024-January 15, 2025)
Required for all schools:
Consolidated Tab
Strategic Planning, Alignment and Goals – enter WBWF goals and indicate how title funds will be used towards those goals.
Required only if you have Title I funding:
The above requirements plus
Family Engagement Plan
Foster Care Transportation Agreement
Optional amendments:
Changes to Narratives (All ESEA)
Changes to Budgets (All ESEA)
Changes to Schoolwide or Targeted PDF Document
FY24 Year End Reporting in MEGS – due 11/30/2024
In addition, prior year closeout requires school leadership to answer some narrative questions regarding your FY24 ESEA grants. The closeout requires a financial closeout AND your narrative answers to MDE’s questions.
To access the Year End Reporting (closeout):
Log into MEGS
Change the year dropdown to 2024
Locate the ESEA Tile and click the link to Year End Reporting
Complete the responses.
You will not be able to submit to MDE until both the financial closeout and your narrative responses are completed.
EdFinMN staff will email you when the financial portion is complete.
Year End Reporting is due 11/30/2024, however any funds that weren’t spent in FY24 will not roll into FY25 until the year end reporting is complete.
